Like A G6 by Far East Movement featuring The Cataracs & DEV, Music Lyrics and Video
The Far East Movement teamed up with The Cataracs (Universal Records) and Dev (Indiepop) for this new collab club smash – “Like A G6″ featured on Far East Movement’s new PARTY ANIMAL MIXTAPE. The song is also produced by The Cataracs.
The music video was shot in Downtown Los Angeles and was directed by Matt Alonzo, the same man behind the music videos for New Boyz’s “You’re a Jerk” and Soulja Boy’s “Turn my Swag On.”
The first scene of the music video takes place in a Korean restaurant in Los Angeles, showing “how they live.” Shooting in a Korean barbecue restaurant has never been done before, according to Progress and DJ Virman. Kev Nish said, “This video gives us a chance to showcase our real lifestyle.”
According to Director Matt Alonzo, the music video concept is a little different, shooting the video in a “P.O.V/doggicam.”
Artists Dev, The Cataracs and Colette Carr made special appearances in the music video. The leading lady is Erica, who Kev Nish calls the “G6 girl.”
