This Girl is the debut single by Jamaican singer Laza Morgan. It is also the first single from the soundtrack to Step Up 3D, the third (and first digital) installment of the film franchise (in theaters August 6). Step Up 3D soundtrack hits the stores July 27th.
Son of reggae legend Denroy Morgan and former member of LMS (a popular Jamaican group) Laza is now focusing on his own distinctive ‘Sing-J’ sound that mixes hip-hop, dancehall, and roots reggae influences. His as-yet-untitled debut album is to be released later this year.
The song was was written by O. Morgan, J. Bunetta and S. ‘Pages’ Mehner and the singer describes it as “A breath of fresh air! It’s a feel good love song, perfect for all seasons and a song anyone can sing.”
