The Catalyst is the lead single by American rock band Linkin Park, from their upcoming fourth studio album, titled “A Thousand Suns”, which will be released on September 13 and 14, 2010, in the UK and US, respectively, through Warner Bros. Records. The single was released to radio on August 2, 2010.
“The Catalyst” is featured in the trailer of the video game Medal of Honor which premiered on August 1, 2010. The trailer was directed by Joe Hahn. The song will be included on the games soundtrack due out October 12, 2010. It was also used during the X Games XVI during some review portions when returning from commercials.
